Unbelievable is the second novel in Best Selling author Sherry Gammon's hit series The Port Fare Series.
Deliah Lopez Dreser’s in town to take care of family business. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, but there’s more to Lilah than meets the eye. Cole’s in danger of losing his heart when this firestorm throws sparks his way. However, is she simply playing him for the fool in order to exact revenge for her brother’s murders?
Maggie and Seth’s reaction when the truth is revealed pushes friendship to the limit. And this time around it won’t be a Dreser causing an uproar in Port Fare. It will be Cole's good friend Booker. But does Booker have it all wrong? Usually not!
Below is the original cover for Unbelievable. I liked the cover and thought the artists did a great job. He did exactly as I requested. But when I published Unbearable I felt this cover was out of place so I redesigned it to better fit the feels of the books
A few reviews for Unbelievable:
From Jamie Canosa:
There were so many things to love about Unbelievable, I don't even know where to start. Oh, wait... yes I do. With the characters!
Lilah, oh Lilah! I love this girl. Okay, yes, she originally shows up in town with some not-so-nice plans for some of my favorite characters of all time, but that has all been forgiven. Where Maggie was a bit of a damsel in distress character in book one, Lilah was basically her polar opposite. Don't get me wrong, Maggie is without a doubt my favorite fictional character ever, but there's nothing bad about a lil kick-ass in a heroine, either. This girl has a whole host of her own issues to deal with, but she's not afraid to meet them head on and to do what needs to be done to protect the people she cares about.
And Cole. I must admit. I had my doubts about him pulling off the role of hero based on the first book, but he definitely steps up and fills the big-boy shoes in this one. He's an entirely different kind of hero than either Seth or Booker, but he's ever bit as endearing. I love Opie!
And then there are the others. I think possibly my favorite thing about this book is that, though it revolves around Lilah and Cole's story, it doesn't leave anyone out. All our favorites from the first book are back and better than ever. Seth, Maggie and Booker all have big roles in the story that keep you thoroughly invested in each of them. I can't even explain how excited I am for Booker's story!
Now, onto the story. It was one that cost me hours of sleep because I just couldn't put it down. The perfect combination of heart-warming, gut-busting, head-scratching, adrenaline-inducing story telling. Cole and Lilah's relationship started out slowly... very slowly, and very believably for the characters involved, but the action and intrigue kept the pages flowing nicely. By the time everything started to fall into place, I was so invested that stopping wasn't even an option until I knew how everything would turn out.
The Port Fare series is not to be missed by anyone who enjoys contemporary romance.

An Amon Customer: After reading the first book I was so excited to read the next one. The characters are so real and well developed. The love story is sweet and the drama is intense. I had a hard time putting it down. It is rare to find a clean romance that is so addictive. I'm looking forward to the next book!

Is there a Dr. Cole in the house? Swooning over the best doctor I have read yet! Cole was always one of my faves in this series because of his humor and always trying to lighten the moods in the bad situations that him and his friends always seem to get into. This book pulls his background and shows how the doctor can truly finally let himself love but does this love find betrayal instead? Lilah, wow, wouldn't want to have her family background but she didn't have a choice to be born into the family business. See how sparks flare and bullets fly in this book of action/suspense for another thrill ride in this series!

Wanda of Good Choice Reading:
Wow! Oh wow! Ms. Gammon delivered yet again like she did in Unbelievable. When I finished reading Unlovable first book in series, I was blown away and couldn't wait to dig into the next one. But as much as I wanted the next book, I didn't think I could love another character like I loved the first two. I'm one of those girls that when I start reading a series I fall in love with my characters. So Ms. Gammon outdid herself. I absolutely LOVED Lilah. She was just as a victim as Maggie was. She was a sweet girl. One thing about Gammon is that she writes very descriptive. So descriptive I can actually see everything I read vividly in my head. And I really enjoyed that about this book, every paragraph I read was a vivid scene.
